IMAGINED WORLDS
Imagined Worlds is a traveling youth mental health and public art initiative. We utilize an art therapy informed curriculum and ask kids:
What would a world look like where you would feel happy and safe?
Watch the documentary, Painting Daydreams
The magic of the project is that we say YES to students’ wild ideas. From a race car surfing on a tidal wave to flying cinnamon rolls, every fantastical image came straight from the students.
The mural is abstract, nonsensical even. The mural process sends a powerful message to children: “Your imagination is valued.”
